The Guardian, reports that city sources are claiming BSkyB has set its eyes on Virgin Media owned channels such as; Bravo, Challenge and Living by considering a £600 Million bid. Virgin Media are set to increase prices on some of its products by June 1st 2008. Customers on the XL TV package, will have to fork out an extra £1.50 more per month. TV Choice on demand will increase by £2 per month (Still Free for XL package) and daytime calls to other UK landlines they’ll cost 4p a minute, instead of 3.25p a minute. For customers on paper-based billing and taking bundles, this will increase by £1.]]>

Virgin Media looks set to become the first British ISP to crack down on customers who download music and other pirated material, illegally. For some time now, record labels have been lobbying for a “three strikes-and-out” regime that would see persistent offenders kicked off their ISP for downloading pirated music files. BPI, which is a music trade body, is said to be working with Virgin Media on a pilot scheme, which could see customers sent warning letters.]]>

A British solicitor is set to sue BT over unfair bill payments that are levied against people who do not pay by by Direct Debit. Ros Fernihough, 62, feels she and many other people, are being wrongly penalised because they decide to pay their bills by cash. Most companies, including Virgin Media, add what they call an administration charge for non-DD payments, claiming it costs them more to process such payments.]]>
